Swedish melodic death metal probably wasn’t invented with bedtime in mind, but Lullaby Versions of In Flames by Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star turns that contrast into something surprisingly soothing. The heavy guitars, pounding drums, and aggressive vocals are removed, leaving the memorable melodies of In Flames to be rebuilt with soft, calming instrumental sounds designed for little ears. “Only for the Weak,” “Cloud Connected,” “I Am Above,” “Alias,” “Deliver Us,” “Take This Life,” “Come Clarity,” and “The End” become peaceful baby lullabies made for bedtime routines, naptime, quiet time, and sleep. Parents who love metal can share the songs they know with their babies and toddlers in an entirely different form: recognizable In Flames melodies transformed into gentle bedtime music—no distortion, no screaming, and hopefully no waking the baby.
